Blogger(s) Wanted

I started this blog because when I have things to say about webcomics, they are usually too long to be appropriate for the comments on other people's blogs.

However, I worry that my posts alone are not going to be frequent enough to make this blog appealing to a large audience base. Ben isn't posting so much right now because he is taking a quasi-break from internetting while in Michigan, and I don't think he'll be posting all that much anyway.

As a result, I/we are entertaining the possibility of other writers joining the blog. More details about this, if you are interested are below the fold.

We are looking for articulate individuals who have things to say about webcomics. I am not interested, right now, in being an editor for someone else's writing, which means that you should have a minimum level of writing proficiency so I don't have to worry about your posts being spell checked or the like.

I care more about whether you have interesting things to say than whether you say things I agree with, so, don't think my attitudes about webcomics or taste in webcomics will be relevant.

In terms of how many people I'm looking for, I'm interested in starting with one, but I may not add anyone, or I may add more than one, depending on the quality of the people who express interest.

To express interest, e-mail me with "Wax Intellectual" in the subject. It would be a good idea to say something more than just that you are interested. Say a little (or a lot) on your interests in webcomics, what you'd want to blog about, etc. If you have like, a sample post, that would be cool, but if not, try and make the e-mail long enough that I can get a sense of your writing.

Feel free to e-mail me with questions, or ask them here in the comments.
